Two weeks in the Canadian Rockies

Pubblished 22 September 2017

peyto-lakeFor those who know my background, it is not the first time I had the chance to spend some good time in the Canadian Rockies; aka Banff/Jasper & all.

For the others, a simply reminder that my boyfriend and I were working in Alberta for two years after school. We used to live in Fort McMurray (850km from Jasper) and I also spent a couple months in Calgary. So there are some places, such as Lake Louise, that we have been like 5 times in summer, spring & winter (we even skated on the lake). So we decided not to return, so as a lot of others places around Banff that are worth it too.

Glamour photography session

Pubblished 10 September 2017

photographie-de-coupleIt has been a moment since I wanted to start offering glamour photography services. Glamour is all about chic, sensual, Hollywoodian. We all have it in ourselves. Well, it’s not always there, but once in a while, it’s always nice to feel like a star or a magazine model.

I needed someone to be my models. Why not ask my boyfriend? Hum, I won’t hide that he does not really like to be photograph. Have you often seen him in picture? Hum, not really actually. He is a little bit shy… or simple does not like the camera (I’m sure he is like your bf too). When I mentionned my project, he said yes. He even accepted to do nice hair for (like for the second time in his life). He played his role pretty well. Where I am getting with that is, if my boyfriend is able to get that result, I’m sure you can as well. 😉 It was even harder for us as we had the camera on a tripod and we were taking the photographs with the remote (I will talk about selfportrait in a future blog post).  Read more

A couple photography session at 2650 m

Pubblished 7 September 2017

Séance portrait dans les montagnesI had a dream that I would expect to be realized. I wanted to photograph a couple on the top of the mountains in the Canadian Rockies. And it happened! I met Tamey & Matt in Valemount, British Columbia, while I was on vacation. Yes, I know, we are not suppose to work on vacation. But when the opportunity comes along, you don’t turn your back. And as I’m not really often in the Rockies, I better enjoy it! (Anyway, when you love the mountains so bad as I do, I couldn’t miss the opportunity. Besides, I always say that I would love to live in the mountains. It is so serene, it cannot be explained).

As a girl, we can be so girly and choose a gorgeous dress, sparkling shoes, beautiful hair and makeup… something that is not what we would normaly wear. To get out of our element! 😉

Here is the beautiful Eloise for her prom day.

Samuel + Gabrielle Prom

Pubblished 25 July 2017

bal-de-finissant-st-georges-de-beauceProm’s night! It is such an important moment for some. It’s the end of high school, the transition to another step of life, a moment of big decisions sometimes unanswered (what I’m going to do for living? Believe me when I say I know exactly the feeling, I have been throught this and I dit not find the answer till I was 25) 😉 But for some, it is the moment of the “big party”. A lot of girls (and probably boys) think about this moment for all their high school years. It is still a good moment where everyone is well dress. Often one of the rare occasion (exception of weddings of course). It is then the perfect occasion to capture these great moments in images. Even more when they are two georgeous lovers like these. 😀

Here is Samuel and Gabrielle prom’s photography session.

A family portrait at the orchard

Pubblished 20 July 2017

seance-de-coupleAgain a gorgeous belly! I do a lot of maternity sessions lately and I love it! This beautiful family just welcomed they latest family member; Dylan. Micheline, Justin and Laura were eager to finally meet him. I think it’s the best moment to share their maternity photographs then (yes I know, I’m a little late 😉 We have been so lucky for our timing. It was suppose to rain all week and it seems that Justin decided that it won’t that that. We had the perfect sunset in the perfect location at the perfect moment (the apple trees blossom). Everything was perfect!

Here are the beautiful images that we took on that night.

Ciao! Ariann

A family portrait with a new one

Pubblished 16 June 2017

portrait-de-familleAn intimate family photography session; the kind I really love! To be honnest, there was a time that I didn’t really enjoyed taking pictures of family; I was finding them difficult and out of control. This has changed quite a bit with time. And let me tell you that when you do a family session like the one I did with Genevieve, Samuel and their two adorable daughters, you can’t do anything else but love it! Everything is simple and authentic. That’s it!

They are so beautiful, I’ll just leave the images here. They don’t need more words. 🙂

Forest and Falls

Pubblished 6 May 2017

Fall creek fallsEach year, I take a different photography workshop. It’s about continuous learning and discovering new stuffs. I decided last year that I wanted to participate in this epic workshop, somewhere down there in the states, about a 22-hour drive in the south, to learn amongst 150 other people from all-over the America and a little further. To learn about couple & wedding photography with 12 speakers, but it was a little more then that. It was about making connections with your couples and having a successfull business. And if you are interested, the Forest & Falls workshop is coming back next year, you can check out all the information on their website.
